Life is a constantly changing.
Day in and day out.
From minute to minute.

From running late to an appointment,
To struggling friends,
A messy house,
Or as harsh as death of a loved one.

But the change comes.
Easy and hard.

This constant change requires resilience.

I recently realized there is one very fitting and simple word to describe what is needed when dealing with change. It is the epitome of resilience.

You need to adjust.

The Definition of Adjust: to bring to a more satisfactory state
or to adapt or conform oneself as to new conditions

In this life (especially in motherhood) adjusting is a must.
This is how you grow from change–whether good or bad.
The adjustments don’t have to be big.
Some may be small like opening a door just slightly,
while others may be like when you go to a chiropractor.

Big or small, good or bad, you can always adjust.
Your ability to do so when change comes your way, will allow for a more flexible and peaceful you.

So the next time you are faced with a change,
don’t panic.

Just take a deep breath and remind yourself it is just time to adjust.
You are bringing yourself to a ‘more satisfactory state.’
Ask yourself, “How can I adjust?”

It simplifies things and brings YOU back into power.
Give it a try! It’s one time where you don’t have to rely on another to have it done!

That is what I am doing (and learning) right now.

How to adjust.
Each day.
And one day at a time.

What can I shift just a little? Or a lot?
How can I adjust to bring things to a more satisfactory state?
What about you?
What ways can you adjust to improve your life right now?
